PostSubject: The Three Easy Steps To Creating A .CFG File (Config)   Wed Jul 04, 2012 8:04 pm

I would like to run everyone through the CFG Creation STEPS

STEP ONE:

First, you need to open the program Notepad.
Once open go to File: Save as: and enter the name you wish to use, for example i have pie.cfg (YOU HAVE TO HAVE .CFG AFTER IT FOR WINDOWS TO RECOGNISE ITS A CFG FILE)

THIS IS THE FILE DESTINATION FOR THE CFG FILE:
C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etmain

STEP TWO:
you need to add the list of commands from the topic titled SAMPLE.CFG into your newly created .cfg file Once finished editing the file MAKE SURE YOU GO TO File: Save
This is where you can chop and change settings to suit your game style and game play. along with a section on preformance and graphics.

STEP THREE:
This step is for when you are in game, you use the Tilda key to open your Console.
Once opened you type in /exec pie.cfg (replace pie with the name you saved your cfg file as)
once you have done this, you then have to open console a second time and type in /vid_restart. this will refresh the game so that your config settings take place
